Lucknow: The fourth T20 match between India and South Africa at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow was called off due to dense fog, prompting the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) to announce a 100% refund for all ticket holders.
The match, scheduled to start at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, faced severe visibility issues due to heavy fog, and officials officially cancelled the game at 9:30 PM. In response to fans’ disappointment, UPCA immediately initiated the refund process.
Easy Refund Process for Online Ticket Holders
UPCA Secretary Prem Manohar Gupta stated that fans who purchased tickets online will receive refunds through their original payment method. There is no need for ticket holders to visit any office. Detailed instructions and information regarding refunds will be sent to the registered email addresses of ticket holders. Fans are advised to regularly check their emails and follow the instructions carefully.
Refund Process for Offline Ticket Holders
Fans who bought tickets offline can collect their refunds at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium Box Office, Gate No. 2, on 20, 21, and 22 December from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Personal presence is mandatory, and fans must carry the original ticket along with a copy of a valid ID for verification.
Document Submission and Verification
Offline ticket holders must submit all necessary documents and identification at the box office. They will also need to fill out a refund form, providing complete and accurate bank account details. Once the original ticket and the form are verified, the refund amount will be directly credited to the bank account provided in the form. Refunds will only be processed after full verification of the details.
