Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that “Madhya Pradesh@2047: Vision Document” serves as a comprehensive roadmap to make the state economically strong, culturally enriched, and to elevate the quality of life of its citizens to the highest standards.
He said the Vision Document envisions transforming Madhya Pradesh into a $2.5 trillion economy by 2047, with targets such as raising per capita income to ₹22 lakh, increasing average life expectancy to 84 years, and achieving 100% literacy. The document lays out a plan to balance the agricultural, industrial, and service sectors to build a self-reliant and developed Madhya Pradesh.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Viksit Bharat@2047” vision, this blueprint aims to shape a prosperous, content, and culturally rooted Madhya Pradesh — a state that symbolizes both heritage and progress.
A Vision Built on Public Participation
The ‘Samruddh Madhya Pradesh@2047’ Vision Document has been prepared through the largest public consultation process in the state’s history. Over four lakh citizens, including farmers, students, entrepreneurs, experts, and social organizations, actively contributed their suggestions through public dialogues, essay competitions, industry consultations, academic sessions, and field studies.
Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain said, “This document is not just a government plan, but a reflection of citizens’ aspirations and the collective vision of the state.”
Four Guiding Principles of the Vision Document
- Focus on Economic Growth – Accelerating the state’s economy, creating employment, and attracting large-scale investments.
- Regional and Local Integration – Formulating area-specific strategies considering Madhya Pradesh’s diverse geographic, social, and economic characteristics.
- Contribution to ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ – Positioning Madhya Pradesh as a key partner in India’s national development journey.
- Participatory and Inclusive Approach – Involving citizens, experts, industries, and the administration to ensure shared ownership of progress.
These four principles make the Vision Document comprehensive, balanced, and pragmatic, transforming it into a living commitment to the state’s future.
Six Strategic Pillars for a Developed Madhya Pradesh
The roadmap identifies six priority areas for development:
- Next-generation agriculture and allied sectors
- Sustainable industrial growth
- Expansion of the service sector
- Urban and rural infrastructure development
- World-class education and skill advancement
- High-quality healthcare and nutrition
Additionally, two key enablers — efficient governance and citizen service delivery, and innovative financial management and investment promotion — have been included to strengthen implementation.
2025 Declared as the ‘Year of Industry and Employment’
The state government has declared 2025 as the ‘Year of Industry and Employment’, marking a decisive step toward self-reliance. This initiative aims to create new job opportunities for youth, boost industrial investment, and promote entrepreneurship, skill training, and technical education across the state.
Blending Tradition with Modern Progress
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that development is not limited to economic growth alone but also includes strengthening the spiritual and cultural identity of society.
He remarked, “Madhya Pradesh, with its glorious heritage, art, culture, and the life-giving Narmada, will play a guiding role in India’s journey of growth and cultural resurgence.”
Collective Efforts to Realize the Dream of a Prosperous Madhya Pradesh
Dr. Yadav called upon citizens, youth, entrepreneurs, and social organizations to embrace the Vision Document as a people’s movement.
He said, “This Vision Document marks the first concrete step toward ensuring a brighter future for our coming generations. Through collective effort, we will build a self-reliant, prosperous, and globally leading Madhya Pradesh by 2047.”
